Adam Schechter

Adam Schechter grew up in Sioux Falls, studying viola and violin with Sue and Ray Sidoti before attending the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he earned a degree in Viola Performance under the instruction of Stephen Wyrczynski. He then continued his performance studies with André Roy at McGill University in Montréal, Canada, where he was Principal Viola of the McGill Symphony Orchestra. Adam joined the viola section of the South Dakota Symphony in 2022.
