Anne Waltner
Pianist Dr. Anne Waltner has performed on five continents in numerous solo and collaborative roles. Formerly assistant professor of music at Eastern Mennonite University (VA) and West Virginia State University, Waltner is regarded both as a demanding teacher and a highly artistic performer. She holds degrees from Cleveland Institute of Music, Chicago College of Performing Arts, and Goshen (IN) College. She is in her first season as Principal Keyboard of both South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.
Currently Waltner is engaged full-time in a row-crop farming operation in rural Freeman, South Dakota, where she lives with her husband, Dr. Rolf Olson (Trumpet 3,) and their five-year-old triplet girls: Greta, Alice, and Lydia.
