Leah Van Dam
Leah Van Dam has been a member of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra’s second violin section since 2000. Leah began her violin studies in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of seven, and studied under Jane Linde Capistran in Fargo. Leah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Augustana University in 2003 with degrees in accounting and business administration. While at Augustana University Leah continued her violin studies with Doosook Kim and Magdalena Modzelewska and performed in the Augustana University Orchestra. Outside of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, Leah holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and practices at RSM US LLP where she is a Senior Director. Leah has also served on several non-profit boards and committees over her career and is a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls through the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. Leah is married to Rick Van Dam and has two daughters, Marie and Elizabeth.
